Rescue Me gets a fifth season

This just in: Rescue Me is a go for a fifth season, according to TV Guide.

FX has ordered 22 episodes of the Denis Leary firefighter drama for next season. No date is set for the debut, but production should begin in the spring, if the impending writers’ strike is resolved.

I know a lot of you were unhappy with season four of Rescue Me. (Me included. RIP Chief Jerry.) Hopefully, the show will rebound this season.
