Let me repeat this, in case you didn’t get it the first time. Veronica Mars has not been cancelled, despite what you’ve read or heard.
That’s right, NOT BEEN CANCELLED, emphasis on NOT, in bold type with an underline.
Show creator Rob Thomas is speaking out on the persistent rumor that our beloved Veronica won’t return next season. He said that the fate of the show has not been decided yet and won’t be for a few weeks. He also gave us this glimmer of hope, “I think we’ve got a fighting shot.” Check out his complete comments at E!Online.
It seems like I’ve been writing about the potential cancellation of Veronica Mars since it began, and frankly, I’m tired of it. I’m not sure why Web outlets, newspapers and magazines are so quick to repeat gossip about the end of this show, because it seems to only make viewers give up watching, thinking there is no reason to invest in future episodes. So, writers, stop it! We need viewers for this show, like Veronica needs sarcasm.
So, I’m pleading with those of you who write about Veronica Mars. Please, let’s try and not scare off the viewers Veronica has by perpetuating the exaggeration of the show’s demise.
The final five episodes begin this week and they are the much talked-about “stand-alone format.”
So, please, tune in, and show the CW that television viewers enjoy more than Pussycat Dolls.

This is good news for me. I'll admit I didn't watch the show until it moved to The CW (thanks to Gilmore Girls for the lead-in). But now, I'm hooked. Had it been cancelled I would have been almost as mad as when they cancelled Sweet Valley High.
Oh, Tim. Sweet Valley High? Just when I thought your manliness could take no more ridiculing. Let the games begin...:)
Relax, TTG...it was obviously just a joke. I never saw an episode of Sweet Valley High.
I did, however, regularly skip classes in college to stay home and watch Days of Our Lives and Another World (RIP). But that was back when Days was good.
OMG...Another World! My college roomates and I loved that show. I remember Julian McMahon, now of Nip/Tuck fame, running around shirtless in the jungle with Paulina. Then, of course, the bliss of Ryan and Vicky and then Jake and Vicky. Ah...good times.
Another World was so much better than Passions, don't you think? I loved the characters. Remember when Robert Kelker Kelly showed up after leaving Days. What was his name? Bobby, I think. And he had Ryan's transplanted eyes. Joe's sister, Sofia, was so hot. Ah, the good old days of Bay City.
I've never watched Passions. It looks ridiculous. But, AW rocked. I especially love Cass Winthrop. It was rerunning recently on SoapNet, but they pulled it last month.
ANOTHER WORLD hit its peak, for sure, in the late 70s and early 80s, when Beverlee McKinsey was Iris...conniving and wonderful. Does anyone remember that weird household staff Mac had? Sven, the killer...(wow!)...and Vivian, the ditz? Hilarious. There has never been, and likely never will be, any soap as great! Mac, Rachel, Liz, Iris...the best. And this is coming from a 46-year old GUY!
(The scene where Jeff was going to throw Vivian off the balcony...and Iris awoke from a supposed drug overdose pointing the gun at him...ALL TIME BEST SCENE!!)
Loved Iris! She was so nasty!
