Last night it was the ladies turn to sing the '80s and to put it bluntly, they put us to sleep, literally. Yawn.
We just don't understand what happened. We know that there are several girls with terrific voices, but we were treated to performances that were mediocre at best.
Brooke White and her rendition of "Love is a Battlefield" was the only highlight of the evening. She gave a good performance that was unique and worthy of the top 12.
For everyone else, it was like they thought, "We know we are good; we don't have to try." Not good enough, ladies! The guys set the bar really high and we expected the girls to come out and totally smash that, but they failed. Even Carly failed to impress. And, seriously, what was she thinking with those pants? While we are on the clothing rant, who is dressing Asia'h? That's all we need to say about that.
Amanda's performance of "I Hate Myself for Loving You" was better than the previous weeks and Ramiele Malubay's rendition of "You're the Only One" wasn't too bad either, but was it enough to push them into the top 12? We aren't sure.
Kady Malloy is probably going to be sent home tonight. And, frankly, we are OK with that. She should have gone last week, over Alaina, but with this show you never know.
It was funny too see Paula jamming out though. At least someone enjoyed the performances!
Tomorrow we will have the recap of who was sent home, and who will be the top 12. Meanwhile, enjoy this encore performance of David Cook singing "Hello." It totally rocked.
