Last night, it was the ladies turn to sing hits from the ‘70s and unlike the majority of the guys, all but a few bombed.
It seemed like it was going to be a great evening when Carly started the show with Heart's "Crazy on You" and gave a great performance. Syesha followed with her rendition of "Me and Mrs. Jones" that was pretty decent and that was followed up by Brooke White crooning out Carly Simon's "You're so Vain" to Simon. Unfortunately, after her delightful performance, the girls just went downhill from there.
We agree with the judges on most of the performances; they were just OK. Nothing terrific and nothing outstanding, which is really unfortunate because most of them have excellent voices.
We thought that Amanda Overmyer would pick a rock song and go full out. The Cruella Deville look is getting old, and we don't think that she will be able to win votes from anyone outside of her genre of music. Did anyone notice that she is the identical twin to Candace Cameron from Full House?
Alexandrea Lushington's performance is another that just didn't work for us. Not to mention the fact that every time she gets criticized, she whines about it. Take it in and move on. Maybe if she actually listened to the judges, she could improve each week instead of blowing off what they said. Back talk just shows that you could potentially have a bad attitude, which is a no-no for us.
We were also disappointed in Asia'h's performance. While the ending was ok, it just didn't set right, and we know she can and will do better.
Our top pick of the evening was Carly and the vulnerable ones are Amanda and Alexandrea. Of course with American Idol being more about popularity than talent, it is always hard to tell who will be sent home.
Tomorrow we will return with the results. In the meantime, enjoy a rehash of Carly's performance.

I just watched Brooke White's performance on You Tube of You're So Vain. I loved it! She's great!
Brook is one of my favs, I hope she gets at least to the top 6 if not farther.
I agree. Brooke is truly talented. What a voice. And she looks like an Idol should look.
