Tonight we said good-bye to four more Idol hopefuls. And props to us, we got three out of four right.
For the girls we said adios to Alexandrea Lushington, which was no surprise, and to Alaina Whitaker, which was a little bit of a surprise. We had her pegged to go home next week. And it was awkwardly obvious that she didn't think she was leaving either. Amanda Overmyer's performance was rough, over exaggerated, and not what we are looking for in an i
Idol. She should have been the one booted over Alaina this week. If Amanda's performance next week is even remotely similar to this weeks gig, she won't last much longer.
For the guys, it was sayonara to Jason Yeager and Robbie Carrico. Unfortunately, Jason just didn't have what it takes to win fans out there. He was a good singer, but there is just too much competition in the hotties to just be OK. Robbie Carrico however tried to be Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry which is not cool to us, we are HUGE Chris and Bo fans, and Robbie didn't make a mark for himself. Maybe it was the fact that he is a former boy-bander, though, that turned potential fans off, or maybe it was the wig? Oh well, time to move on.
Next week, more Idol hopefuls will be sacrificed to the voting Gods and the competition will become fiercer. It will be interesting to see how this season will pan out, with all the talk of Idol producers "planting" people in the show. Stay tuned and we will see you next week.
