Reaper fans, don’t miss tonight’s episode

Those of you who love Reaper - and I know there are plenty of you out there - tonight is a crucial episode, in terms of ratings.

In other words, you need to watch.

I have it on good authority that the network is paying close attention to tonight’s ratings. Here’s why. Next week is the CW upfront presentation, where the network decides and announces which shows will be back next year on its schedule. I want Reaper to be one of those shows. (I also hope that Aliens in America will be back, but I’m not optimistic after reading all the trade reports.)

At the beginning of the season I championed Reaper and got many of you on board. (You’re welcome Tim, and the rest of you.) I’m here to ask you once again to tune in. We need quality scripted shows, instead of more reality brain-dead programming. So, please, watch. You wouldn’t want to make the Devil angry would you?

Some of you have e-mailed asking for information on the SEND SOCKS TO SAVE REAPER CAMPAIGN. All you have to do is send your socks and letters of support to Dawn Ostroff at 3300 W. Olive Avenue, Burbank, California, 91505. That is the correct address.

For those of you who can’t wait for tonight’s episode at 9 p.m. ET, check out this clip, courtesy of the CW.

UGHHH! I don't understand why every show I like is in constant jeapardy of getting cancelled. The CW had a great lineup with Everybody Hates Chris, Aliens in America, One Tree Hill, Smallville, Reaper and Gossip Girl.

I know ratings aren't great, but shows everywhere are down, including the big ones like Lost, Ugly Betty, etc. If they kill Aliens and Reaper, what could they possibly have better to replace it with? I won't watch those stupid reality shows, and I don't think most of the masses will either. If that's all the networks will be offering soon, I'll simply turn off the tube.

I agree with weevilswobble, it seems like the past few years all we've done is fight to keep our favorite shows around...Everwood, Veronica Mars, Studio 60, Las Vegas, Invasion.

At some point, studios have to stop living and dying by the ratings, and give shows a chance to blossom. Seinfeld would have been canceled in its first season, if the networks did business in the 90s the way they do now. It's a sad reflection of what's happening in the world of television.

Jennifer, I heard you on the radio talking about Aliens in America, and I feel your pain. As you said, it really is a great show and I hope we get to see it for another season. I like Reaper, too, so please CW folks, if you're reading this, don't pull one of your most original programs. It makes me laugh on a weekly basis.

I think I'll save my socks for when this show gets canned, so I can send them in smelly and dirty to tell them what I think of the decision.

Come on CW, keep Reaper!

Save Reaper!!!!! Love the show.

Reaper is better than the now-stale Smallville with its diminishing cast and unbearable storylines.

Flat out, Reaper is one of the most entertaining shows on TV, and certainly on The CW.

Let's see if those execs have learned a thing or two after the Everwood/7th debacle. This show deserves a renewal on ratings alone, if you consider that it doubles the weekly audience of Everybody Hates Chris, which is already renewed.
