First look: The new 90210

Here’s a sneak peek at the new Beverly Hills 90210 cast, story premise, and that oh-so-familiar opening music and hand slaps.

From this video, it’s obvious this isn’t the 90210 of my generation. One big change is that the core family is bi-racial. That’s right, Brandon Walsh 2.0 is black. And a cutie, if I do say so myself. Watch the video for an explanation of how Lori Loughlin and Rob Estes (Cindy and Jim Walsh 2.0) ended up with a blended family.

I was also shocked to see last season’s vixen from Nip/Tuck, actress Annalynne McCord, among the new 90210 gang. She created quite a stir on Nip/Tuck, so I can’t imagine what she’ll be up to in this zip code.

Take a look and see what you think of the upcoming show. I admit I’m sucked in, especially after Lori Loughlin’s comments that the adults are going to have storylines, too.

I'm sucked in, too. Thanks for posting. I forgot how much I missed this show until I heard that old "familiar" music!

I was reading the comments under the Rob Estes post, and I agree with some of those folks that the "parents" and Kelly Taylor are the main reason I'm tuning in. I know the CW is trying to market to the teen demographic, but the network should realize that those of us who loved watching the shows from the WB (Dawson, Felicity, Buffy, Angel) are loyal to the network and are interested in "adult dramas" too, not just teenager shows like Gossip Girl. I think they're mising a key group of adult viewers in our mid-late 30s, by not pushing shows to our age group. After all, we're the ones who actually have dollars to spend on products they advertise.

Maybe they should have tried a Melrose spinoff for our age group. Frankly, Grey's Anatomy is the closest thing we have to an adult soap these days. But I am looking forward to this show.

Thank you for telling me who that hot blonde was. It was driving me crazy as to where I'd seen her before. She was CRAZY on Nip/Tuck!

It does look pretty decent. I was cringing when I heard they were remaking one of my favorite shows, but it actually looks good.
